The Christmas Season at Coral Ridge

The Christmas Season at Coral Ridge is always an exciting time and this year was no exception.

In fact I would venture to say that this year will be “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” ever, (apologies to songwriters Edward Pola & George Wyle).

Last Friday (December 15th) a packed house of people were treated to the sounds of Christmas at Coral Ridge. Featuring the Coral Ridge Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, under the direction of Matt McMurrin and Bernie Gonzalez, concert goers were treated to sounds and sights ranging from the stirring Carol to the King by Mack Wilberg to the lush “Waltz of the Flowers” from Nutcracker.

Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride delighted the audience with soloist Kerrie Roberts sliding down the aisle in a “Real Sleigh.” Kerrie and Bernie Gonzalez followed in a charming duet singing Let it Snow and Bernie’s solo White Christmas brought the “house down.”

There was so much more that it is impossible to describe it all, suffice it to say that if you missed this concert, you missed a wonderful and gorgeous evening of sights and sounds.

On behalf of the entire Coral Ridge Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, we pray that you had the very merriest Christmas and a Happy, Prayerful New Year.

Until next time….See you in the Choir Loft!
