Matching Gifts

Many organizations and corporations will double or triple the gifts made to non-profit organizations. Within a corporate matching program, employee gifts made to qualified non-profit organizations that meet the company’s guidelines are matched with company or corporate foundation funds.

How to Make a Matching Gift

If you are associated with a company that has a matching gift program, you may be able to double or even triple your gifts designated to Coral Ridge. Each company has different requirements and qualifications. Contact your company’s Human Resources office and request matching gift information including specific guidelines and a matching gift application form.

Complete the matching gift application form and send it with your gift to:

Upon receiving your gift and completed matching gift application form, your gift will be promptly processed and your employer will be notified of your charitable contribution.  For further assistance, please contact our Stewardship office.

In Memory of - Tribute Gifts

We are appreciative of gifts that are designated “in memory of” loved ones, family members, friends and others. We are grateful for those who have uniquely remembered a loved one by making a gift in their memory to the ministries of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church.

Relatives or close friends may choose to designate a gift for CRPC General Ministries, Capital Fund, Outreach Fund or other ministry project opportunities.

When making a contribution gift to further the ministries of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church “in memory of” a loved one, please provide the following information:

  • Name and correct spelling of the person you are giving in memory of
  • Name and address of the donor of the memorial gift

Upon receipt of the “in memory of” gift, the Stewardship office will process the gift and send acknowledgement to the donor gratefully acknowledging the tribute gift.

You may also request the Stewardship office to send an acknowledgement card with verses of comfort to a surviving family member or a family representative of the deceased. The card identifies the donor by name and the special tribute gift that was made “in memory of” (it does not disclose the amount of the gift). When submitting this request, please clearly provide the name and address of a surviving family member or a family representative of the deceased.

In Honor of - Tribute Gifts

We are appreciative of gifts that are designated “in honor of” loved ones, family members, friends, ministry leaders, pastors, mentors and others. We are grateful for those that have uniquely remembered a loved one by making a gift in their honor to the ministries of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church.

Relatives or close friends may choose to designate a gift for General Ministries, Capital Fund, Outreach or other ministry project opportunities.

When making a contribution gift to further the ministries of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church “in honor of” a loved one, please provide the following information.

  • Name and correct spelling of the person you desire to honor
  • Name and address of the donor of the gift

Upon receipt of the gift, the Stewardship office will process the gift and send acknowledgement to the donor gratefully acknowledging the tribute gift.

You may also request the Stewardship office to send an acknowledgement card with verses of encouragement to the person you are giving in honor of. The card identifies the donor by name and the special tribute gift that was made “in honor of” (it does not disclose the amount of the gift). When submitting this request, please clearly provide the name and address of the person you are giving in honor of.

Gifts-in-Kind Donations

Gifts-in-Kind donations are non-monetary items or materials of tangible personal property. Examples include real estate, art objects, high-quality collectibles, antiques, books, automobiles, products, computer hardware, computer software, supplies and more.

All Gifts-in-Kind donations to Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church must be approved by the offices of Stewardship and Finance and the department that is responsible for receiving the actual gift. Upon receiving approved Gifts-in-Kind, the Stewardship office will issue a receipt identifying the date of receipt and acknowledging that the described Gift-in-Kind has been received.

Coral Ridge does not identify a value for the Gifts-in-Kind on the receipt. The donor is responsible for acquiring the fair market value applicable at the time of the gift.

For Gifts-in-Kind that are valued by the donor at more than $5,000, the IRS requires that a fair market value appraisal be obtained by the donor. Please contact a tax accountant to inquire about how Gifts-in-Kind donations may benefit you in your individual tax situation.

Stock and Security Gifts

Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church gratefully accepts gifts of Stock and Securities.

Please contact our Stewardship office for assistance in transferring securities. Please provide the name of the security being transferred and confirm the donor receipting address. Also, please let us know how the funds should be designated (e.g. General Ministries, Capital, Outreach, etc.). This will assist us in the prompt acknowledgement of your generous gift.

Upon knowledge of receiving your stock or security, the Stewardship office will process and send the following:

  • Charitable Gift Receipt that identifies the stock or security and the date received by Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church
  • IRS Form 8283 identifying: donor, name of security, market value of security

(using IRS guidelines the average of the high and low of the security value on the date of receipt)
