Community Groups
If you haven't been a part of one of our small groups, now is your chance to experience the fellowship, fun and spiritual growth that only happens in a Community Group.
What is a Community Group?
The mission of God is to restore all things to Himself in and through the work and person of Jesus Christ. His chosen vehicle through which he is accomplishing that mission is the church. As God restores us to himself, he is also restoring us to each other. This restoring work does not happen in isolation, but in and through our relationships. Community Groups allow you to connect with others and build closer relationships. Community groups are basic Christian communities where Christians grow (discipleship happens) and where the gospel grows (evangelism happens).
In community groups,
• people come to know God and to experience His presence,
• personal relationships are developed and fostered, and
• people are nurtured, equipped and released to do God's work in the world.
It is within these small communities that Christians encourage one another to believe the gospel and become the gospel in the lives of others. Community groups meet in homes and offices throughout the week. All groups are led by trained lay-leaders from the congregation who receive continued oversight and support from our pastoral staff. Groups generally meet two to four times a month for worship, bible study, fellowship and prayer. Many groups also participate in monthly service projects or social events, in place of a regular meeting. Our hope is that everyone who attends CRPC will be involved in a Community Group. You may visit a group at any time of the year by invitation of one of the group members or a pastor.
